They are flycatchers, and the first brood has hatched and are now getting ready to fly --- both female &amp;amp; male have been so busy feeding them! We saw a falcon with an arrow in its back that was poking out the front. Maybe someone thought it was a turkey?? We are thoroughly enjoying our woodpeckers this winter. We have downies, hairies and red-bellies. These birds particularly like the suet cake hanging in the crabapple tree in my front garden. It's so much fun to watch the birds queue up in the tree and wait for the red-belly to eat first, then the hairy, and then the downy.
